About Us

Our Church:

In July of 2007 Emmanuel Baptist Church in Belmont, Mississippi, sent the Shumaker family to start a fundamental baptist church in Ralston, NE.  With the help of the Lord and many other like faith churches, we arrived here ready to work.  Our first service was held on August 12th. 2007 in the Hillcrest Landing shopping plaza in Ralston, NE. 

Our goal is to establish a soul winning, bible believing, independent baptist church, that focusses on worldwide missions.  Not only are we focussing on Ralston, but to assist in seeing churches planted in many other areas in Nebraska.  We believe the great commission, to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  Where there's a creature, there should be a preacher!


Our Family:


Pastor Shumaker's Salvation:
When I was 14 years of age, God saved my soul.  A friend of mine was going to church at Calvary Baptist Church.  They had a contest to see how many people they could get to church,  whoever brought the most people would receive a bible.  Several of us boys went with him to help him win the prize.  Who would have thought that I would come out with the greatest prize of all.  The preacher preached on hell that night, and for the first time I saw myself going there.  With my face in my hands and the tears rolling, I had a decision that night to make, whether to trust Christ or to reject Him and walk away.  Thank God I made the right decision.  When I stood up that night, I was just as saved as I am today.  I went up and prayed the prayer, but I know by faith God did a work in my heart that night.

Mrs. Windy's Salvation:
I spent most of my school years at Emmanuel Baptist Christian School.  It was there as a young teenager that  I thought I had given my life to the Lord, but there was always something missing.  About 4 years after Mark and I were married, Bro. Dwight Banks came and preached a revival at our church.  About 22 people gave their hearts to the Lord that night and I was one of them.  We thank God for all He has done for our family.

Our Children:
We have three wonderful children.  The oldest is Cortney, she is 14 years old, she has been saved by God's grace and is serving the Lord as piano player in the church, she is doing a wonderful job.  The Lord has blessed her with a wonderful talent.

Abigail is 9 years old and has accepted Christ as her savior (praise the Lord).  She and Cortney sing in church quite often.  What a blessing to see our children serve the Lord.

Blake is 4 years old and we look forward to what God has in store for his little life.  He has such a wonderful sense of humor and keeps us laughing.

We thank God for the beautiful children He has blessed us with.  We want to raise them for His glory and honor.
